WHAT IS A DOUBLE TRANSFER CASE / DOUBLER / STRONG BOX?
The diagram below explains different drivetrain configurations. The Strong Box gives you the option of your existing standard transfer case gears, or shift into lower gears, effectively multiplying your existing torque with 2.7:1 gears.

* When mounting the Strong Box to your Ford transmission 4x4 adapter, 4 bolt holes will line up perfectly, but the top 2 will be 1/4" off center. We have a template and detailed instructions for drilling out the 2 holes.
